Distressed Assets Experience
His involvement the distressed/restructuring sector includes representation of creditors and debtors; bankruptcy, trustee appointment; expert testimony in bankruptcy procedures, author of a treatise, Corporate Restructurings, Reorganizations and Buyouts (John Wiley & Sons, Inc.), and, of particular relevance to the current environment, a four year stint as counsel to the DBL Liquidating Trust, the post-confirmation depository of the assets of Drexel Burnham Lambert charged with monetizing Drexel’s positions for the benefit of creditors … a highly successful enterprise which involved just about every permutation of distressed investing one could imagine. I am currently engaged in representing a $250 million distressed real estate fund.
